In April 2019, a new residence status, "Specified Skilled Worker," was established. Previously, under the Immigration Control Act, Japan had a policy of only accepting foreigners with specialized skills or work experience and skills into the labor force. This new residence status requires a certain level of skill, but it is a major change in that it allows foreigners to work in industry and the service industry.

Purpose and Obligations
Tanaka Corporation Registration Support Organization promotes business expansion into Southeast Asia, primarily Vietnam and China, for domestic small and medium-sized enterprises, and aims to strengthen the international competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises through economic development, international exchange, and personal exchange between Japan and Southeast Asian countries in the spirit of mutual assistance.

"About the documents submitted"
When providing employment placement services overseas, the following documents must be submitted in addition to those required for domestic employment placement services only.
① Relevant laws and regulations of the recipient country
② <If you do not use an intermediary agency> Documents certifying that your business activities are permitted in the recipient country (※) <If you use an intermediary agency, the following documents>
③ Contracts etc. outlining the division of responsibilities between the intermediary agency and the business operator
④ Documents certifying that the intermediary organization is authorized to operate in the recipient country
⑤ Declaration regarding intermediary agency
(※) For documents ① to ④, only the relevant parts need to be attached, including Japanese translations.

・Support for necessary contracts for daily life (opening a bank account, signing contracts for water, electricity, gas, etc.)
・Providing opportunities to learn Japanese
・Responding to inquiries or complaints from specific skilled workers
・Promoting exchanges with Japanese people
・Career change consultation and support
・Regular interviews (every 3 months)
・Preparation and submission of regular reports to the Immigration Bureau (every three months)
*The support content will be implemented in consultation with the accepting company and the specific skilled worker.
